Hot Water Cornbread 3


1 cup cornmeal
11/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
Cooking oil

Makes 6 patties

Blend dry ingredients. Bring water to a boil and pour over dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Mix thoroughly. Allow to cool slightly and then pat into 6 medium patties. Fry in just enough heated oil to cover bottom of skillet.
