Fresh Buttermilk Ranch Dip


1/2 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons fat-free mayonnaise*, optional
3 tablespoons nonfat dry milk
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

* For extra thickness and creaminess.

Place all ingredients in a small bowl. Mix with a wire whisk. Chill for a few hours to thicken before serving.

Serving Suggestions: Dip for veggies and pretzels. Marinade and glaze for grilled chicken. Spread on toasted bagels. Drizzle on sliced cucumbers for a crunchy salad. Slather on baked potatoes stuffed with broccoli. Use like a bearnaise sauce over cooked green veggies.

Prepared with fat-free mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons are fat-free; without: 4 tablespoons are fat-free.
