French Dressing
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 tablespoons salad oil
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar; or lemon juice
Yield: 6 tablespoons
Put the salt, sugar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce into a basin. Gradually add the oil and beat until smooth. Gradually beat in the vinegar or lemon juice. Continue beating until the dressing thickens.
