Russian Salad Dressing


1 c. salad oil (olive, peanut etc..)
2/3 c. ketchup
1/2 c. vinegar (Red Wine or Rice is wonderful!)
1/3 c. sugar
2 tablespoon finely chopped onion (bermuda preferred but sweet vidalias are GREAT!)
1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon paprika
May also add parsley.

Bits of bacon, crushed red pepper, sesame seeds or even a tsp of hot sauce have been additions to this recipe. WOW! Combine ingredients into a jar and shake. Or mix in a food processor or blender. Stores nicely in refrigerator.
