Oriental Burgers

1 lb. ground chuck
1/4 cups sliced mushrooms
8 oz. water chestnuts
3 tablespoons Teriyaki sauce
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon dry Sherry
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 inch ginger root
1 egg, beaten

Using food processor or blender, puree together all ingredients except beef and egg until fine. Combine ingredients and blend well. Stir in ground beef and egg and mix well. Form into 1" thick patties. Place on broiler rack or grill about 6" from heat and cook until well done. Serve on toasted buns topped with favorite burger toppings.
