Surprise Hamburgers


HAMBURGERS
1 1/2 pounds Ground beef
3/4 cup Quaker Oats; uncooked (quick or old-fashioned)
1 teaspoon Onion salt
2 tablespoons Catsup
1/2 cup Milk

CHEESY FILLING
5 ounces Process cheese spread
2 tablespoons Sweet pickle relish
2 teaspoons Prepared mustard

For hamburgers, combine all ingredients thoroughly. Shape to form 12 thin patties. For filling, combine all ingredients thoroughly. Spread filling on center of 6 of the patties. Cover with remaining patties; pinch edges together to seal. Place in broiler about 4 inches from source of heat. Cook about 7 minutes. Turn and cook about 5 minutes longer. Serve on toasted hamburger buns.
