Pear Peach Jam
1-1/2 lb. pears
1-1/2 lb. peaches
4-1/2 cups sugar
1 pkg. powdered fruit pectin
Pare, core, and finely chop pears; pare, pit and finely chop peaches. Combine pears and peaches in kettle; bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute. Add sugar; boil for 1 minute longer, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Stir in pectin. Remove from heat; skim. Seal with hot paraffin.
