Whole Wheat Muffins 2


1 cup flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup milk
2 beaten eggs
1/3 cup shortening
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Combine flour, salt and baking powder. Mix whole wheat flour and brown sugar. Add nuts. Stir flour mixture together. Add combined milk, eggs and shortening. Stir just until moistened. Bake in greased muffin pans for 15 minutes at 425 degrees.

Makes 1 1/2 dozen muffins.
