Delicious, when paired with Bella Sera® Delle Venezie Merlot
2 tablespoons Olive oil
1 Medium onion, finely chopped
2 Cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Dried Italian seasoning
1 16 oz. package ziti, cooked and drained
1 26 oz. jar high quality red sauce
1 Cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
1 15 oz. container ricotta cheese
1/2 Cup Grated parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat oil in a large skillet, then add onion and garlic and sauté for 10 minutes. Add tomato sauce and dried Italian seasoning, let simmer for 10 minutes then remove from heat. In a large bowl, combine tomato sauce with ricotta and mozzarella cheese. Pour into a casserole dish, sprinkle shredded Parmesan cheese on top and bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
