Cilantro Sauce

(see also Sesame Chicken Skewers)

1 cup lightly packed cilantro sprigs
1 green onion
1 jalapeno chile
1 TSP fresh lemon juice
1/2 TSP sugar
1/2 TSP fresh ginger
1/4 TSP salt

In blender, combine 1/4 cup water; 1 cup lightly packed fresh cilantro sprigs; 1 green onion, chopped; 1 jal;apeno chile, seeded if desired and chopped; 1 TSP fresh lemon juice; 1/2 TSP sugar; 1/2 TSP fresh ginger, minced and peeled; and 1/4 TSP salt. Blend until smooth. Transfer to small bowl and refrigerate until serving time.

Makes about 1/2 cup.
