Down East Style Sauce


1 gallon vinegar
3/4 cup salt
2 tbsps. cayenne pepper
3 tbps. dried red pepper flakes
1/2 cup molasses (or 1 cup brown sugar)

Combine all ingredients. Allow to stand for 4 hours. Serve as table sauce.
