Plum Sauce 2

1 12oz jar plum preserves
2 TBS vinegar
1 TBS brown sugar
1 TBS finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
Put everything in small sauce pan bring to a boil stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Tastes best if put in fridge and allowed to set overnight before use.
NOTE:
We leave out the onion, crushed red pepper, and garlic for a sweet and sour dipping sauce for egg rolls. Also might want to add a bit more vinegar or sugar to suit taste here.
