Russian Teacakes


1 cup softened butter
1/2 cup sifted confectioner's sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup ground nuts
Confectioner's sugar

Mix butter, confectioner's sugar and vanilla together. Sift flour and salt together and mix into butter mixture. Add nuts and blend until combined. Chill dough. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 400'F for 10-12 minutes or until set but not brown. Roll in confectioner's sugar while still warm, let cool and roll in confectioner's sugar again.

Makes 4 dozen
