Scalloped Apples


6 Tart apples
1 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 cup Butter
3 cup Bread crumbs

Peel and slice apples. Mix apples, sugar and spices. Melt butter and pour over bread crumbs. Place layer of apples in buttered casserole, then bread crumbs. Alternate layers, ending with crumbs on top. Bake at 350 F for 45 minutes. Serve with pork chops or ham. Put some whipped cream on it and serve it as a dessert.
