Tomato Hamburger Soup
1 lb lean hamburger
1 lrg can stewed tomatoes
1 TBSP oil
2 TSP salt
1/2 chopped onion
1/2 TSP pepper
4 cups hot water
1 bay leaf (whole)
1 cup chopped carrots
1 can tomato paste
1 cup chopped celery
Brown meat slowly, add onion, salt and pepper. Cook 5 minutes. Grind to fine consistency in blender. Add remaining vegetables and bring to a boil. Simmer 20 minutes. Cook uncovered for 1 to 1-1/2 hours.
