Green Beans au Vin
2 pounds fresh green beans
1/2 cup olive oil
2 slices thick bacon, cubed
2 medium onion, chopped
1 small garlic clove
2-3 cups sautérne
1 tablespoon Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce
Tobasco
Salt
Prepare green beans. Pour olive oil into a pot big enough to hold all the bean with ease. Put bacon in olive oil and fry until soft, not brown.
Add beans, onions, garlic and wine.
Add Lea and Perrins and Tobasco, to taste (1-2 teaspoons should do).
After beans have become tender, salt to taste and cook until desired doneness.
