Right, well, as expected, no further
work has happened on Ult-RE. Arse. Ah well, shit happens.
Right well, poll has been changed - I wanted to do this one back
in March, but RE4 wasn't out in Europe yet and I held a no spoiler
policy before the release. So, anyway, fun poll, go, vote. The winner
of the previous poll was, surprise, Jill Valentine. For full results,
check out the li'l button there that says 'Polls'. That's the one.
Moving on, I have in fact done a little work on the RE game section,
nothing uploaded yet. Still working. Also, I have decided that Ultima
Radio needs a bit of a revamp (well, it doesn't really need it as
such, but I wanna revamp). So, Ultima Radio will be split into a
bunch of different channels with about 15 tracks on each. Bearing
in mind that I'm thinking as I'm typing now, here is my vague idea:
Newness 200X - This channel will feature whatever
new releases I have recently acquired. 'New' can be defined as either
released in the last year or so, or in some cases not yet released.
Depends what I've gotten hold of lately.
AssHole.FM - This is one specially for the other
site I work on, GwynAssHole.com.
It will feature comedic stuff like Group X, TISM, Primus, as well
as other songs related to the site (such as songs by Blues guitarist
Gwyn Ashton).
AXE-246 - AXE will be devoted basically to guitar
heroes of mine, such as Eric Clapton, Joe Satriani, Slash, Rory
Gallagher, Zakk Wylde...so, a pretty huge variety, all with kick-ass
axe-work.
Station Of The Beast - Yep, you guessed it - this
one will be for Iron Maiden, as well as the various side projects,
solo works, previous bands that Iron Maiden are connected to.
Radio Thrash - Belying it's name somewhat, this
station will not be solely for thrash metal - this will be the station
for any hard-rockin' heavy metal band that I fancy sharing with
you worthless fools, such as Pantera, Slayer, Mudvayne, Probot,
Anthrax, Megadeth...lots of heavy metal basically.
Oldies/Goldies - Yep, you guessed it, older stuff.
Don't groan, this stuff kicks ass, and there is a lot of it people
will like if they just gave it a chance. This station will feature
bands such as The Doors, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Free,
Jimi Hendrix...goodness, basically. So shut your yap about old music.
80's Flashback - Pretty self explanatory - lots
of Eighties stuff such as Motley Crue, Kiss, Guns N Roses...whatever.
This one may see some cross-over with Oldies/Goldies, so they may
end up just as one station. Kinda undecided on that.
Ch0rd5 - Punk and Grunge on this one, because
I believe that these are two kinds of music that should definitely
be classed together. Arguments can be addressed to that brick wall
over there.. But don't expect any of that pussy Good Charlotte emo-shit
on here, this is gonna be full on ass-kicking punk - Sex Pistols,
Rancid, Ramones, Bigwig - all that kinda shit.
CNT-EMPRY - Basically the station mentally marked
'other' this is the one that if stuff don't fall into the others
it will most likely fall nicely into this station. Expect the likes
of Foo Fighters, SOAD, Manic St. Preachers...whatever. You'll see.
Phew - that's a lot of stations. You lot had damn well better be
worth it.
